Admin Console: sections and access
For: Company administrators and staff with a specific Admin Console permission. Checked: Vega v1.126.2, 8 October 2026.
Open Admin Console from Vega's main navigation. The tabs you see depend on your permissions and the modules licensed for your company. A missing tab is not necessarily a fault. Open a tab to get its own address, such as /admin/users or /admin/settings/email.

- Users creates accounts, assigns roles, and suspends or restores access. Distribution Groups manages document audiences; both require USER_MANAGE.
- External Access manages outside organizations and their member accounts; it requires EXTERNAL_ORG_MANAGE.
- Settings changes company-wide options and requires SETTINGS_MANAGE. The setting sections shown inside it depend on licensed modules.
- Audit Log requires AUDIT_LOG_READ. Devices shows aggregate usage and requires USAGE_STATS_VIEW.
- Permissions Matrix requires PERMISSIONS_MATRIX_VIEW; Diagnostics requires DIAGNOSTICS_VIEW; System requires USER_MANAGE.
Roles and distribution groups serve different purposes. A role grants product actions, subject to the permission matrix and any additional scope. A distribution group makes someone eligible for documents assigned to that group; joining can create new reading and acknowledgement obligations. An external organization's section and capability choices create a separate boundary for its members.
Start with users, distribution groups, or external organizations. For company options, read how settings work. The Permissions Matrix and diagnostics page explains how to check access before changing a role.
If a tab is missing
Ask an administrator to check your account's role and the exact permission above. The Permissions Matrix shows the current role mapping; it is read-only. A module setting section can also be absent because the module is not licensed. Your company's administrator should check the System licence summary; changing a user role does not activate an unlicensed module. See why an action is missing.
