Compliance

Choose an email digest and understand access

Who can use this: Anyone with Company Compliance view permission can set their own digest. A company administrator controls the company-wide digest switch in Document settings. Last verified: Vega local demo v1.126.2 and current source, 8 October 2026.

Choose your own email preference

  1. Open Compliance and find Email Notifications above the summary. The initial/default choice is No digest.
  2. Select Daily Email Summary or Weekly Email Summary to subscribe. The digest summarizes completed and pending acknowledgements, overdue items, and group progress. It is sent on a scheduled run, not immediately when you change the selector. Daily/weekly are cadences, not promised clock times.
  3. Under Covers, leave The whole company for the default scope, or choose Selected groups and tick at least one distribution group. An empty selected-group list is not saved as a group-specific digest; pick a group to complete that choice. A group-scoped digest does not include documents addressed only to a person outside those groups.
  4. Changes save automatically after a short pause; wait for Email digest preference updated successfully. There is no separate Save button. If an error appears, recheck the preference and try again.
  5. Choose No digest to stop the scheduled summary. If you later subscribe again, the scope starts at the whole-company default.

Email Notifications card and the current digest frequency

  1. Email Notifications applies to the signed-in user's own digest.
  2. The frequency selector offers No digest, Daily Email Summary and Weekly Email Summary. The scope controls appear after a daily or weekly choice.

Choosing a digest does not change the acknowledgement numbers on this screen.

Access and related settings

  • The Compliance menu and reports require View company compliance reports. In the current role matrix, System Owner, Company Administrator, Document Controller and Auditor have this permission. Available modules also depend on the company's configuration.
  • Sending a manual reminder from a person's pending document requires Send compliance reminders and digests. The current matrix grants this to System Owner, Company Administrator and Document Controller. The Auditor can view the report but cannot send a reminder; the UI may still show the envelope until a server rejection.
  • Under Admin Console → Settings → Document Control, Send administrators the compliance digest is the company-wide switch. Its default is enabled; if the administrator disables it, personal subscriptions remain visible but scheduled compliance digests do not send. Other acknowledgement reminder timing settings control scheduled document reminders, which are separate from this digest and from the manual envelope button. See Document settings and access.
  • If the report says Compliance report unavailable, check the Documents module and your permission, then reload. If External compliance report unavailable appears only on the external tab, ask an administrator to check that data source. No rows after a search or status filter may simply mean no match.

The Compliance report describes document acknowledgement readiness only. Regulatory requirement links and Manuals review are separate workflows.
